Freddie Deel, Jr., age 40, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Born on July 20, 1970, in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of Freddie, Sr. and Donna McMullen Deel of Rising Sun, MD.
Mr. Deel had worked in the construction industry. He enjoyed being with his son, fishing, hunting and restoring old guns.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his son, Jason Alexander Deel, Kennett Square, PA; sisters, Patty Connell and husband, John, Kim Brown and husband, Thad, all of Rising Sun, MD, and Shelly Fletcher and husband, Kenneth, Salisbury, MD; and nieces and nephews, Andrew Durkin, Chris and Joe Weber, Reagan Connell, Kara, Bryce, Aydon, Aubrey and Thayne Brown, and Brandon and Gavin Fletcher.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921, where visitation will begin at 12 Noon. Private interment will be in Rose Bank Cemetery, Calvert, MD.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jason Alexander Deel Educational Fund, in care of the funeral home.
